01  PROBLEM

02  OBJECTIVE

The more we connect through technology, the more we compromise the quality of our real human connections. This makes it harder to prioritize meaningful interactions, plan our time, and engage in things we enjoy.

Design a calendar app that helps users manage their schedules more efficiently, encourages social interaction, and integrates hobbies into daily routines.

03  PROCESS

1) User Research

Conducted research and created an empathy map to understand user frustrations with traditional calendar apps, highlighting a desire for more emotional connection, motivation, and support for social/hobby time.

  • Simplified the whiteboard tools and added subtle visual cues to enhance user guidance.

  • Prototyped and tested new flows to validate improvements in ease of use.

Design and build a fictional gaming website that demonstrates awareness of dark patterns—by highlighting & critiquing them—while creating a strong brand identity and functioning front-end interface.

Delivered a fully functional, branded website that critically engages with the concept of dark patterns. Coded website using HTML, CSS and JS, demonstrating technical coding skills and an understanding of ethical UX design principles.

Dark patterns are often used throughout websites to manipulate users into making decisions that aren't in their best interest, such as forced sign-ups or misleading buttons.

  • Developed a sci-fi inspired brand identity

  • Researched dark patterns and identified psychological impacts

  • Created wireframes and mockups with intentional design choices to reflect ethical or manipulative design

  • Built final website using HTML, CSS, and JS

01  PROBLEM

02  OBJECTIVE

Design an interactive book that supports children's dexterity and fine-motor skills, and encourages creativity.

Children may often lack engaging tools that develop both creativity and fine motor skills in a hands-on way.

  • Researched child development needs

  • Designed a playful, age-appropriate visual identity & layout

  • Integrated interactive elements hands-on learning

  • Prototyped and tested

Developed a vibrant, interactive book that supports children's creativity and dexterity through playful, tactile design. Following the story of a friendship, children learn to crochet a bracelet gift out of yarn and beads.
